With 16 years of litigation experience, Patricia McKenzie Edwards is a certified mediator and arbitrator as well as the founder and principal attorney of her practice Synergy Law and Mediation, a firm that provides comprehensive and personalized legal services to clients in Atlanta and surrounding areas in Divorce, Family Law, and Estate Planning. Patricia offers alternative dispute resolution methods to help clients resolve their civil, divorce, and family law issues. She believes in patiently fostering collaborative environments where cooperation among diverse entities and parties lead to outcomes greater than the sum of their parts. Her mediation and arbitration services include divorce with and without children, modification of custody and/or child support, personal injury, landlord tenant, business, employment, real estate, and contempt actions.
During her law school education, Patricia was a member of many societies supporting diversity initiatives, including the Diversity Committee Member for the Student Bar Association, President of the Caribbean Law Students Association, and Member of the Black Law Students Association. Now, Patricia is a member of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (Leadership Committee Member), the Gwinnett County Bar Association (2017-2018 President), and the Amicable Divorce Network. She has been recognized in the Georgia Trend Legal Elite in 2022 and received the Recognition for Continuing Support for the Gwinnett Pro Bono Project from 2010-2013.
