Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator
Valerie Kiffin Lewis, Esq., is a distinguished legal professional with over 25 years of experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). She is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil, Family, Dependency, and County Court Mediator, and is also a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator.
Ms. Kiffin Lewis has mediated over a thousand cases across various practice areas, including employment discrimination, personal injury, contract disputes, family law, real estate, professional malpractice, landlord/tenant issues, and business conflicts. Her extensive experience includes serving as a contract mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) since the inception of its ADR program in 1999, as well as mediating for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court in Broward County and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
In addition to her mediation practice, Ms. Kiffin Lewis serves as an Employment Mediator and Arbitrator on the panel of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and is a Diplomate member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN).
Ms. Kiffin Lewis is deeply committed to community service. She has served on the Mediator’s Qualification Board for the Florida Dispute Resolution Center for over two decades and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Deliver the Dream, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting families facing illness, disability, or crisis. She is also a member of the National Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta .
Valerie holds a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, where she was a board member of the Moot Court Society and served as a Legal Research Assistant. She interned as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Alcee Hastings, U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of Florida, and served as a Judicial Staff Attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County.
